Short stories
Having written drama almost exclusively I decided to try my hand at some short stories aimed at the women's magazine market. To my surprise I sold a dozen or so over the course of two years.
But I soon tired of the obligatory happy endings, of having my titles changed and, worse still, finding my tender tales interspersed with advertisements for incontinence pads or support stockings.
